THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE DEVELOPMENT - ABORIGINAL CULTURAL HERITAGE INFORMATION SYSTEM - ONLINE PORTAL PROJECT. REQUEST FOR TENDER.
Tender Code: DSD040890. Contract Number: 1617100.
Description: The Department of State Development, Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation (DSD-AAR) seeks Information and Communications Technology (ICT) development services to develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive Aboriginal cultural heritage information management system.
It seeks a system that integrates geospatial, database information and services into a solution accessible via an online portal.
The solution will need to meet the current needs of the agency as well as future needs which have been introduced by recent amendments to the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1988.
A review of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Register and Information System (ACHRIS) developed by Aboriginal Victoria and adapted by the Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships (DATSIP) Queensland was undertaken by DSD-AAR in November 2016. The study identified an 85% fit of the ACHRIS system with DSD-AAR's heritage information system requirements.
The study resulted in the articulation of high level requirements of the future system, sufficient to inform an accurate design proposal and quotation by a third party.
Three scoping documents are attached to this plan:· DSD-AAR Current and Future Requirements (Attachment 1)
    · DSD-AAR Gap Analysis (Attachment 2)
    · DSD-AAR Use Cases (Attachment 3)
    Tender parties have two options:
    1. tender for the full development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive cultural heritage information system based on DSD-AAR's Current and Future Requirements; or
    2. custom development of the ACHRIS based on the DSD-AAR Gap Analysis of ACHRIS and DSD-AAR's Current and Future Requirements.
Tender closes at 4:00pm Adelaide time 24 April 2017.
Briefing: A briefing session will be held at Level 4 (Training Room), 11 Waymouth Street, Adelaide, on 6th April 2017 at 11:00am.

    Reference: WS178044.
Close Date: Wednesday 19 April 2017 at 4.00 pm.
    Request for Proposals (RFP).
Overview: New Zealand's early childhood curriculum, Te Whariki, is being updated. The Ministry of Education has developed Te Hono - a dual-language website - and online resources to guide the implementation of Te Whariki and support teaching and learning in early childhood education (ECE). Our website contains more information about the different kinds of ECE services and kohanga reo available in New Zealand.
We are looking for a credible provider to review users' experience with Te Hono and its two portals, manage and maintain Te Hono and its content, and develop and publish additional content. We will consider more than one provider if this will deliver the best solution.
This opportunity will run from May 2017 to June 2018.
This is a unique opportunity to have an early and direct influence on the quality of new online resources that support ECE services' design and delivery of local curricula in line with the updated Te Whariki.
The successful provider will also form an integral part of new feedback loops between the Ministry, kaiako and professional ECE learning and development providers. They will publish innovative examples of the updated Te Whariki in action, host webinars on Te Hono, and capture users' ideas about the website's future development.

In 2012, Monash University led the strategic procurement of core facilities management software (to manage research infrastructure) for deployment across Victoria called the Australian Research Infrastructure Network (ARIN). ARIN was managed by Monash University and governed by the Victorian Platform Technologies Network (VPTN) through a consortium agreement between Monash University and Biomedical Research Victoria (formerly Bio21 Cluster).
The VPTN was the largest cross-disciplinary biomedical research infrastructure network in Australia, connecting over 140 platform facilities.
To date, the software is used by 4000 users (academic and industry) to access 28 platforms from 8 Victorian organisations. ARIN currently manages 70,000 bookings/requests per year of over 1000 capabilities (instruments, services and products).
In October 2015, Monash was notified that the current software was to go End of Life (EOL) by August 2016, and as a result, Monash has resolved to depart using this software by the end of 2017.
Monash now needs to procure and implement a new software system which will allow the transition of the 18 Monash platforms currently on ARIN to a new solution, and subsequently allow other platforms to deploy this solution to manage their facilities.
The new model going forward will be to endorse a vendor panel that will allow all CAUDIT member universities to choose the software that suits them best. A list of CAUDIT members can be found at https://www.caudit.edu.au/members.
The solution will consist of a web-based search portal which will allow researchers to search for resources of interest across all institutions and then redirect the researcher to the institutional booking systems.

The Eliminate Dengue Program (THE PROGRAM) is a non-for-profit research program within Monash University that seeks to significantly decrease mosquito-transmitted diseases like dengue, chikungunya and Zika. These diseases are wreaking havoc on the lives of millions of the world's poor living in tropical cities of the developing world. We aim to help reduce the disease burden in the communities that need it most but don't have the resources to do it alone.
THE PROGRAM is looking to partner with an organisation with a keen sense of social responsibility that can provide a team of flexible size and skills distribution to adjust to the changing requirements of our Program.
In particular, THE PROGRAM seeks to partner with an Agile software development partner to develop key software properties that contribute to our strategic program and organisation objectives and outcomes, with a focus on a core data platform that collects and reports on entomological field data, and a web-based learning platform for knowledge transfer to new project sites (Catalyst).
