Description: These services are required to ensure the Student Experience Survey (SES) adequately measures the learner engagement of higher education coursework students who are studying via external mode (online). The SES includes a Learner Engagement scale which measures the engagement of current higher education coursework students with their studies. Results to date show consistent, significantly lower engagement levels for external mode students compared with internal mode students, greatly exceeding the variation which would be expected between teaching modes. This suggests that the current learner engagement scale has an inherent bias against external study modes, and does not fully capture important aspects of online teaching practice.

It is considered that the current University website no longer meets the need of internal and external users, and does not accurately reflect the University's Connect, Discover, Grow Strategic plan, brand values and priorities.
As a new world university, with a strong track record in online education and a desire to grow our business, there is an immediate need for the entire structure, design and guiding principles of the university website to be realigned.
The Project will take a structured approach to the design, development and implementation of the University website. The project will draw on the needs and desires of users, CDU staff and leadership, and will focus on desired user journeys and experiences. The new website design and structure will also seek to communicate the key messages and values of the emerging University strategy and brand direction.
