NEW ZEALAND FIRE SERVICE COMMISSION. SAFETY, HEALTH & WELLBEING SYSTEM.
    RFx ID: 18260883.
Close Date: Tuesday 24 January 2017 at 5.00 pm.
    Registration of Interest (ROI).
Overview: New Zealand Fire Service and 38 Rural Fire Authorities will amalgamate on 1st July 2017 to form a new organisation, Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ).
At present each entity has its own systems and processes for meeting their respective safety, health and wellbeing (SH&W) responsibilities, including a range of technology solutions and manual solutions for identifying and managing risk, recording, investigating SH&W injuries and events, reporting on performance indicators, managing contractor and worker engagement and other components of an effective SH&W Management System.
Additionally, there are significant numbers of people who work in fire-related roles at Department of Conservation, Ministry of Defence and in approximately 1,000 Contractor roles. FENZ will also be responsible for the SH&W of people working in and around emergency incidents, regardless of whether they are employees, volunteers, members of the public or employees of other organisations.
On Day One, it is essential that FENZ has the ability to at least record work-related injuries and illnesses, and to identify hazards and assess and manage risks. FENZ must also be able to manage follow-up investigations and meet regulatory and organisational performance reporting requirements.
A range of business outcomes have been identified that FENZ will implement over time, although some of these outcomes may not be available on Day One. However, it was important to identify the end goal to ensure appropriate software is selected as the platform to support a comprehensive Safety, Health and Wellbeing Management System for FENZ.

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. PROVISION OF A CONSULTANCY TO DEVELOP A SOLUTION FOR MAINTAINING THE INTEROPERABILITY OF ICD 10 AM AND SNOMED CT AU.
    ATM ID: IHPA/27/1617.
    Agency: Department of Health.
Close Date & Time: 20 January 2017 at 2.00 pm (ACT Local Time).
    Location: NSW.
    ATM Type: Request for Tender.
Description: As per the Non-Admitted Patient Emergency Department Care National Minimum Data Set, principal diagnosis is currently captured and reported by emergency departments (EDs) via two main systems: ICD 10 AM; and SNOMED CT AU EDRS.
IHPA uses maps to group episodes reported in SNOMED CT AU to the emergency care Urgency Related Groups (URG) classification system, which uses ICD 10 AM to categorise presentations. At present, the mapping file contains 5,761 SNOMED CT AU codes which are mapped to 3,055 ICD 10 AM 6th edition codes. However, this mapping is out of date with major changes having been made to both SNOMED-CT-AU and ICD-10-AM since the mapping file was developed.
At a minimum, IHPA requires a mechanism to convert SNOMED CT AU codes to ICD 10 AM codes every six months, in line with jurisdictional reporting timeframes. The scope is limited to the SNOMED CT AU EDRS and the full ICD 10 AM 10th edition code set. Where possible, the contractor should also consider the inclusion of the full set of SNOMED CT AU codes.
Timeframe for Delivery: It is anticipated the project work commence early 2017; with the project completed by the end of 2017.
