    The core system for incident management reaches end of life in September 2018, and no longer provides all the functionality we require.
    We wish to consolidate and streamline our processes by selecting a new integrated risk management system encompassing; incidents, risk registers, occupational health and safety, consumer feedback, surveys, and reporting (aka "the system"). The system will interface with a number of primary applications for core source data. The system will cater for the current and anticipated needs of HBDHB and the wider health sector within Hawke's Bay.
    It is expected that the design of the solution will start early September 2017, with delivery starting in mid-November 2017.

    Overview: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) process is to invite interested parties to provide information to Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB) in relation to the provision of an Asset Management and Facilities Management system for WDHB assets, including asset and facilities management software provision, implementation/integration and ongoing support.
    Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB) serves the largest DHB population in the country - more than 580,000 people. WDHB operates North Shore Hospital, on the shores of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, and Waitakere Hospital in west Auckland. The existing asset base has a book value of approximately $710 million (as at 30 June 2016). This consists of Land, Buildings, Clinical Equipment, Other Equipment, Motor Vehicles and IT.
    WDHB have a number of asset and facilities management systems in use that vary in maturity and quality. WDHB is looking to improve its asset management capabilities to achieve an upper-intermediate/advanced level of asset management maturity within the next six years. As well as redeveloping our asset management information system, we need to implement the organisational change management required to support continuous improvement in asset management maturity. The supplier should have detailed knowledge of the IIMM framework and ISO 55000. Also important to us is that the provider has awareness of asset management challenges in the healthcare industry, ideally in New Zealand.
    WDHB is looking to improve its facilities management system to ensure the effective and efficient operational management of its facilities including compliance and risk management and improved management of contracts and contractor information to help align to new Health and Safety legislation. The success of this project is reliant on the success of the change management to ensure that the knowledge and processes are in place for staff to utilise the full functionality of the system and ensure that data integrity is maintained.

    Overview: Capital & Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) intends to procure data visualisation business intelligence (BI) software before December 2017.
    A RFI was sought in February. There were 19 responses to the RFI. The DHB thanks all respondents for supporting the indicative business case.
    In March our ELT has endorsed an indicative business case for using new data visualisation BI software and authorised a competitive tender process to be undertaken. The outcome of this process will be a detailed business case supporting a preferred provider. There is no guarantee that the detailed business case will be accepted.
    Likely two-stage process:
    The high level of interest may mean that a two stage process will be undertaken: registration of interest (ROI) and short-listing, followed by request for proposal. The exact nature of the process will be determined before the end of March and will be clear when the proposal process is listed on GETS.
    Indicative timeline:
    We expect to issue the ROI in April. Given the Easter and the school holidays at the start of the month, it may be closer to the end of April.
    Videos:
    We are exploring the option of requesting that the bulk of the ROI submission is by video rather than 'paper'. We would still accept 'paper' submissions but feel that the nature of the software product lends itself better to video. We would detail our expectations about the structure and content of any such video and we may choose to provide anonymised data to assist you to tailor the video to our situation. There would be some requirements that could not easily be shown in video and those would require a 'paper-based' submission. Please send in any concerns you would have about this kind of process by Monday 27 March 2017 at 9.00 am.
    Communications prior to the issuing of the ROI:
    The DHB does not wish to receive product presentations prior to the issuing of the ROI. However, if vendors wish to speak to someone prior to the issue date, they may contact us.
    During the RFI process, vendors asked a number of questions that related to the DHB's detailed requirements and many were technical. As we develop those requirements over the coming fortnight, we would appreciate it if you could please email with any questions you feel need answering as part of the ROI documentation.

This is why we want to ensure community pharmacists can access people's health records, and also share the vital information they hold with patients and their other clinicians.
    The Agency is partnering with community pharmacy dispensing software providers, to enhance their products to allow viewing and uploading to the My Health Record system. We also want this sector to use Australian Medicines Terminology to enhance the quality and interoperability of medicines information.
    This functionality will be the bedrock on which to build more sophisticated medicines information, summaries and alerts in local systems, and to attract system- wide benefits. Ultimately, this will contribute to improving medicines safety for consumers, health professionals and the wider community.
    To support this objective, the Agency has worked with industry on Funding Principles to support software developers to utilise national digital health services.

    The objective of the market sounding activity is to obtain insights from providers in ways CHHHS can reduce the overall costs of goods and services it purchases, without compromise to service provision or patient care, to address the financial deficit.
    The scope of the exercise covers the majority of non-labour medical and non-medical categories which are outlined within the Terms of Invitation document.
    Presentations were previously held at the Cairns Hospital outlining the market sounding initiative on 31 January and 1st February 2017. The presentation is provided as a supporting document.
