Pilbara Ports Authority invites Expressions of Interest to develop and operate a new multi-purpose berth and adjacent logistics hub at the Port of Port Hedland. The Port of Port Hedland is the largest bulk minerals port in the world, servicing the mineral-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
This is a unique opportunity to develop a multi-purpose cargo facility with a diversified revenue base to meet expected trade growth and new export products in north-west Australia.

Overview: Background - The Defence Industry Advisory Council (DIAC) established the Minister of Defence Awards of Excellence to Industry in 1998 to highlight and reward the contribution by industry to Defence.
The Awards are presented annually by the Minister of Defence. The presentation of the awards takes place at the awards dinner which concludes the NZDIA Defence Industry Forum.
The award is an engraved trophy which past winners have been able to use to good effect in their marketing efforts.

Tender Overview: Ports North is responsible for the development and management of port facilities vital to the development of Cairns and regional centres in Far North Queensland. The Corporation has extensive property, marina, tourism and cargo facilities under Ports North ownership and management in Cairns and its regional ports, including the Port of Thursday Island.
In 1989 a wharf extension was constructed on the eastern side of the Thursday Island Main Wharf. The wharf extension included of 12 prestressed concrete piles which now require repairs.
The scope of works includes reinforced concrete pile encasement to 10 piles and a pile wrap system to 2 of the piles.
The wharf is an operational facility. Safety, methodology and programming will be critical to the successful delivery of the project. The works will require provision of appropriate access and environmental controls for works in the tidal zone.
Ports North invites tenders from suitably qualified and available Contractors, with appropriate experience in marine works for the delivery of this project.
