With over 350,000 visitors a year and a core part of the community, the Ashfield Aquatic Centre is being redeveloped to upgrade the services provided to the community.
Inner West Council invites submissions, from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide Construction Services for Ashfield Aquatic Centre Redevelopment Works.
Tenderers are required to demonstrate their technical capacity to deliver a project of this scale and have had relevant experience in delivering similar projects
There will be a site briefing meeting on:· First session: Wednesday 20th December 2017 at 11:00 am
· Second session: Wednesday 10th January 2018 at 11:00 am

This scope of works list is a general overview of the extent of works required to be undertaken and is not represented to be a complete and definitive summary of the full extent of tasks to be completed. Each definition carries with it associated tasks which are necessary for the proper completion of the works and these are deemed to be included. The tasks arising from the information included in other clauses of this specification are also deemed to be included.
Any items of work necessary for the proper completion of the works to the full intent of the tender documents are to be included.
The works scope includes, but is not limited to:
. Redesign of the 25m pool to transform it into an industry standard learn-to-swim pool with appropriate depths.
. Inclusion of a disabled ramped walkway including handrails.
. Installation of a wet deck gutter system.
. Pool lining to match the 50m pool.
. Redesign of the mechanical plant servicing the proposed redevelopment, including supply and return lines to achieve the turnover rates required by state legislation and industry standards.
. Design of removable shade to cover a minimum of 50% of the water surface.
. Supply of detailed drawings and specifications ready for public advertising.
. All design specifications and plant and material selection are to be in accordance, and comply with, all local and state legislation, as well as all industry standards. It is anticipated the proposed design will achieve Health Department of WA approval prior to going to tender for construction. Any redesign will be at the consultant's cost.
