A temporary fencing plan with proposed layout of site works must be approved by the client and architect prior to the commencement of works, as well as a proposed schedule of works with anticipated facility shut-down periods.
Consideration must be given to on-going public safety and access to other areas of the facility that are not affected by these works, and the proximity of the existing adjacent school facilities, throughout the construction period. Provision must be made to maintain accessible access to all public areas during construction. The contractor shall meet regularly with the venue manager to provide an upcoming program, and resolve any issues in relation to pool operation.

ABOUT THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD:
Fairfield City is located 32 kilometres South-West of the Sydney Central Business District (CBD), covers an area of some 104 square kilometres, incorporating 27 suburbs and is bounded by the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Penrith, Liverpool, Cumberland, Canterbury-Bankstown and Blacktown.
Fairfield City is home to approximately 200,000 people and is one of NSW's most populous Local Government Area. The contractor is required to provide within their submission an initial preliminary design that will show their proposed features and layout that will suit FCC's budget of A$340,000.00 (exclusive of GST) for the design and construction works;
Complete detail design and design certification that is compliant to all relevant Australian Standards and Guidelines and as required in the specifications as provided in the attachments of the tender. Design Certification shall be by a Registered Professional Engineer;
All investigation works including Geotechnical studies, All construction works; Filtration system including filtration pump, filter waste management system and all associated works. Plant capacity to be as required by NSW health.
All demolition, trenching, back filling and earthworks required including waste material disposal, All electrical, water, storm water and sewer works pertaining to the proposed attraction including connections, Balance tank and waste holding tanks (height 1.8m), Control panels and pumps, Filtration pipework and reticulation to and from the feature, access for plant service and necessary signage, All hydraulic work for services connections and related RPZ or back flow protection.
All civil and structural works pertaining to the Babies Pool and Plant Upgrade (excavation, concrete, foundations, sub-soil drainage, etc.), UV resistant materials, All safety and pool signage, Testing and Commissioning, Full Operation and Maintenance Manual and the training of Leisure Centre personnel, Whole-of-life estimate 10 to 15 years.
The Contractor is to provide all the other requirements from the Specifications as per the attachments to the tender namely:
The repairs and making good of any damaged concrete, paved or other hardstand areas that arise due to the contract works;
Provision for all miscellaneous hatches and building works as required in the design and construction contract;
All landscaping works;
Supply and installation of all accessories;
Concrete equipment mounting plinths;
Miscellaneous swimming pool equipment as required in the design and construction contract;
Electrical bonding / earthing of metalwork around the pool;
Testing, commissioning, performance checks and operator training;
Handing over in working order and warranty of the installations;
Provision of operating and maintenance manuals including as-installed drawings;
