NORTHERN BEACHES COUNCIL TENDER RFT 2018/125 - TESTING, MONITORING AND MAINTAINING WATER QUALITY AND EQUIPMENT FOR WATER FEATURES.
ABOUT THE COUNCIL:

Northern Beaches Council (Council) invites tenders for the provision of Testing, Monitoring and maintaining water quality and equipment for water features under Council management. The scope of the tender includes testing, monitoring and maintaining water, plant and equipment at three water features and one splash park across the Local Government Area (LGA).
The Contract term will be Two (2) years with three (3) optional extensions of one (1) year each at Council's sole discretion.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the tender is to engage a suitably qualified and experienced specialist contractor to replace the fibreglass liner and associated accessories on the 50m Olympic and learners' pools at Maitland Aquatic Centre.

Movement and general wear and tear of the gel coat and fibreglass seal across the pools have caused adverse disfigurement or bulging in the fiberglass liner.
The project has been identified as a priority due to its central role in the social and recreational life of Ngukurr and more significantly, as a high water user, in a town at water supply crisis point.
The pool complex is consisting of 4 swimming pools and is now in need of a full renovation.

ABOUT THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD:
Fairfield City is located 32 kilometres South-West of the Sydney Central Business District (CBD), covers an area of some 104 square kilometres, incorporating 27 suburbs and is bounded by the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Penrith, Liverpool, Cumberland, Canterbury Bankstown and Blacktown.
Fairfield City is home to approximately 207,000 people and is one of NSW's most populous Local Government Area.
Council is a body politic constituted under the Local Government Act 1993 with the general functions set out in the Local Government Act and is enable to enter into contracts and arrangements of the type contemplated in this Tender. ABOUT THE TENDER:
Fairfield City Council is seeking tenders from organisation(s) that have appropriate certifications, qualifications, capacity, experience and a high standard of capability who can deliver the best value for money in regards to the design supply and installation of 20m water slides
To design and construct an exciting new attraction in the Aquatopia water park and deliver in time for the opening of 2018/19 summer season. The new attraction shall be opened by 25 November 2018. The design and install slides that has thrills and speed, i.e. something different with a higher level of excitement to those already exists in the existing 10m tower and the other existing slides in the Aquatopia Water Park
To design and construct the 20m high tower that is capable of being upgraded to accommodate additional rides in the future and supply and install all associated structures, foundations, mechanical and electrical facilities including but not limited to, pumps, pipework, control panels, water filtration and circulation system, and connection to water supply, sewer and electrical services including to enable operation and functioning of the new attraction
Tenderers are strongly encouraged to attend the briefing and site viewing which will cover an overview of the Statement of Requirements and provide the tenderers a further appreciation of the site.
