Construction of the Groom Creek Wetland. The wetland will divert runoff from an existing modified creek alignment to a vegetated wetland integrated into the existing Maitai River floodplain. This will reinstate the historical alignment of the creek and the approximate location of an original natural wetland. The wetland has been designed to improve the water quality of runoff discharging into the downstream receiving environments (including Maitai River and estuary) whilst providing a high quality, high profile landscape amenity for the park and surrounding community.

ABOUT THE TENDER: Tenders are invited for the provision of Waste Classification and Soil Assessment at as and when required for a 3 year period with 2x1 year extension options
Hunter Water has buried assets valued at over $3 Billion. Ongoing maintenance of these assets is required to keep them in service and spoil is generated as a result of maintenance work. The spoil is a mixture of soil, waste and recyclable materials such as concrete, steel, plastic, tar and wood.
Over the last few years a waste classification program has been in place for the spoil at most depots. Spoil management is on a pathway of improvement to comply with NSW EPA and OEH requirements, to reduce the amount of spoil disposed to landfill, to increase the proportion of recyclable material and provide opportunities for reuse of clean soil materials.
This contract represents a continuation of the waste classification program at the main depots.
SITE INSPECTION: A formal site inspection will not be held, however it is recommended the contractor visits the site to familiarise themselves with the extent of work required.

Artists and artist teams are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for a permanent
public artwork commission as part of the City of Bunbury Koombana Foreshore Redevelopment Project. This project seeks to improve the tourism and recreational appeal of the Koombana Bay foreshore and provide opportunities for visitors and residents to better understand the cultural history of this site.
The artwork should be a prominent and identifiable feature of the Koombana Bay Foreshore, and provide a point of interaction for visitors to the site. It is located at one of Bunbury's busiest public thoroughfares, at the termination of the access road to the Koombana Bay
Foreshore, and is a highly visible to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Submissions must take into account the City of Bunbury's commitment to maintain
permanent public artworks for the minimum intended lifespan of 25 years.
Koombana Bay is located at the Southern end of the Leschenault Inlet in the coastal city of Bunbury, approximately 175km South of Perth.
The Koombana Bay project area extends from "The Plug" waterway in the west to the Dolphin Discovery Centre in the east. It is bounded by Koombana Drive in the south and Koombana Bay in the north. It incorporates a unique piece of coast, with calm sheltered

Coordinate the maintenance of the instrumented DustWatch network (image below) with the help of 35+ volunteers. This task has to be done in the Gunnedah office and includes:· Checking the incoming data stream via the OEH DustWatch application (ClearSCADA based) to monitor instrument (TSI DustTrak) performance.
· Remote fault finding where applicable
· Guide volunteers with fault finding and monthly instrument maintenance
· Coordinate annual service with volunteers and Australian distributor.
· Maintain good contact and relations with the volunteers via phone and email. This is of upmost importance to the project as the volunteers save OEH > 400k annually. This task sometimes requires work outside of office hours as some volunteers are not contactable during the day. A rural background is considered an advantage.· Maintain the site and instrument history, calibration certificates and performance records. Coordinate instrument calibration / distribution / storage. Attention to detail is required
Undertake weekly data QA and subjective aerosol classification based on aerosol concentration and weather data in conjunction with satellite imagery and local knowledge from volunteers. This task can be done either from the Gunnedah office or remotely and includes:
· Check DustTrak hourly concentration data for all sites (35) for malfunction. Attribute using the DustWatch ClearSCADA application (screenshot below) and satellite viewer.
· Classify hourly DustTrak data for all 35 sites into Dust / Fog / Smoke based on weather data, satellite and fire information and local knowledge from volunteers using the DustWatch ClearSCADA application.
