Tender Details: The Gaagal Wanggaan (South Beach) National Park (GWNP) Board of Management (BOM) has commenced on the development of the GWNP Plan of Management. The Plan of Management will be the guiding document for management of the Park for the next 10 to 15 years. In preparation for the Plan of Management the BoM is undertaking a significant Gumbaynggirr Cultural Values and Community Aspirations Consultation Project (the Project).
The aim of the Project is to develop a comprehensive understanding of Gumbaynggirr Aboriginal values and aspirations for the Park in the form of a detailed Gumbaynggirr Cultural Values and Community Aspirations Consultation Report (the Report). The Report is intended to be the framework document or the backbone of and source document for development of the Plan of Management. As the 'centrepiece' of the Plan of Management the Report will significantly influence management of the Park for the next 10 years and beyond. The BoM aims to ensure that the Report has a distinct and unique Gumbaynggirr cultural framework. The Consultant will work with the BoM and communities in developing this unique framework to ensure the Report has a distinctly Gumbaynggirr perspective.
