Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) is the statutory authority responsible for promoting and controlling the greyhound sport throughout Victoria. With approximately 1200 race meetings held across 13 venues (11 regionally and 2 in metropolitan Melbourne) throughout the State, GRV distributes to owners and trainers more than $40 million dollars in prize money every year.

Furthermore, GRV also help care for those greyhounds that are no longer suited to racing, in that GRV has developed the highly successful greyhound adoption program that helps to place ex-racing greyhounds into suitable homes, where they live happily as family pets and lifelong companions.
