Description: The Waterfall Gully to Mount Lofty Summit Trail within Cleland Conservation Park suffered extensive damage as a result of storms in September 2016. The iconic trail attracts over 600,000 visitors per annum and is considered one of Adelaide's prestigious and must do visitor attract actions. A Contractor was engaged to undertake a detailed condition assessment of the trail. The report identified significant failures and risks to public safety along the length of the trail. The rectification of these failures and the mitigation of risks form the detailed design and works to be undertaken as part of this project.
The construction works include site clearance and demolition, earth works, concrete paving, board walks, steps and flag stone walls and repair of bank failures.
The primary objectives are to reinstate the existing trail and where practicable, improve durability and amenity but include:· Receive quality construction outcomes
· Receive good, reliable and efficient service
· Minimise cost and receive good value for money
· Minimise risk to the public, Government and the environment
· Achieve social and environmental outcomes

Tender Details: The Landforms and Rehabilitation Team (LRT) are directly responsible for the rehabilitation of the Former Snowy Scheme Sites and has a team of specialist staff based at Tumut which plans, manages and directs an annual rehabilitation program based on the requirements of the Major Sites Management Deed signed by NPWS and Snowy Hydro Limited in 2002.
A contractor is required because the planting and maintenance of the Former Snowy Scheme is located on a range of locations within Kosciuszko National Park (KNP). There is significant variation in the extent of works, ground conditions and topography at each location. Locations include high altitude sites with extreme weather conditions, steep slopes and working in spoil material which is predominantly shattered rock that includes potentially hazardous material such as scrap metal and bonded asbestos fragments.
The Work Sites are all located within the bounds of Kosciuszko National Park (KNP), and the successful tender must demonstrate the capacity to have a crew of labourers to complete hard physical labour and use small machinery in remote and challenging environments.

Removal of existing garden bed vegetation and installation of soil, new plantings and mulch works will be completed by Council.
1. Sections of the car park must remain in use during construction works at all times.
2. The contractor is required to submit a project program for approval, prior to the commencement of works, outlining how the car park will remain operational and which sections will continue to be in use throughout various stages of the project work.
The Tender shall be for:
1. Removal and disposal of identified existing car park garden beds, including concrete kerb edging, shrub and groundcover vegetation, shrub and tree roots, tree stumps, existing garden soil and any other debris.
2. Removal of all identified existing irrigation components.
3. Design of a sub-surface drip irrigation system to adequately water all new garden beds as detailed within the specification and drawings
4. Installation of the approved irrigation design connected to Council's 32mm raw water connection in Seymour Street, at the entrance to the car park
5. Installation of tree grates and guards to nominated tree plantings
6. Installation of new concrete garden bed edging
7. Removal and disposal of tree roots causing damage to asphalt surfaces
8. Repairs to all damaged asphalt surfaces
9. Reconfiguration and alterations of the disabled car park spaces

Tender Details: The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service of the NSW Office of the Environment and Heritage (OEH) seeks tenders from construction and manufacturing companies to manufacture and deliver parks facilities (Park Facilities) for installation throughout national parks and reserves across NSW.
This tender aims to establish a prequalified list of state-wide and regional suppliers for the manufacture of Park Facilities. This will ensure the efficient and reliable delivery of high quality standardised items. Successful tenderers will be placed on a list for the provision of nominated facilities. Local staff will be directed to contact suppliers on the list when purchasing items. Inclusion on this list does not guarantee any engagement for the supply of items under the contract.
Successful Tenderers shall provide the Agency with the service of manufacture of Park Facilities for national parks and reserves across NSW and if required the delivery of these items as required by the Agency.
Supplied Park Facilities shall be constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications set out in the Park Facilities Manual April 2016.
