EOI F0138162 The Shire of Dardanup is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Community Consultation and Concept Plans (Stage 1) Eaton Skate Facility.<br/>
ABOUT THE TENDER: The Shire of Dardanup is a local government area in the South West region of Western Australia, immediately to the east and southeast of the city of Bunbury and about 180 kilometres south of the state capital, Perth<br/>

The Shire of Dardanup is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. The Shire of Dardanup staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal or emailed proposals will not be accepted
The Principal is seeking tenders for environmental rehabilitation works along sections of the Swan River foreshore in Middle Swan Reserve, Middle Swan and Woodbridge Riverside Park in Woodbridge, WA.
The City requires the services of a suitably qualified Building Company to construct a new facility, which consists of the demolition of the existing toilet facility and courtyard and construction of a new modern fit for purpose administration and studio building, new car park with pedestrian pathways and a new courtyard connecting the existing buildings to the new administration entry. <br/>
The Stirling Street Arts Centre is a high use community hub, it includes the City Band Building, Creche Building, Pottery room and storage compounds, these facilities must remain assessable and operational throughout the contract period. <br/>
The Scope of Work includes but is not limited to the following:<br/>
a) Demolition of the existing toilet block<br/>
b) Provide temporary connections for all services & utilities to the existing buildings<br/>
c) Provision of two temporary (2) UAT facilities for use by the Centres Patrons, these units shall be connected to sewer, potable water and electrical services and remain functional for the duration of the contract.<br/>
d) Construction of a New Administration/ Studio Building<br/>
e) Construction of a New Courtyard <br/>
f) Construction of a New Car Park and Pedestrian Paths<br/>
g) Make good to existing landscaping, grass, paths, reticulation and roadways damaged by the works.<br/>
Tenderers are required to view the site before tendering to better inform themselves of the conditions under which the works are to be carried out. No claims will be accepted on any request for a cost variation arising from any item, which in the opinion of the Superintendent would have been evident at the site visit.<br/>
Work not included in the Scope of Works (work by others)<br/>
a) Formal Landscape Works <br/>
b) Loose office furniture including desks, chairs, phones, computers <br/>
The Stirling Street Arts Centre (SSAC) is included on the City of Bunbury Heritage List and is located within the Stirling Street Heritage Area, to be known as the East Bunbury Heritage Area in the draft Local Planning Policy on heritage.<br/>
The existing and new facility will be occupied by the (SSAC) and some of the existing buildings at the SSAC have exceptional heritage significance such as the former State Government Infants School's. There has been a Heritage Impact Statement undertaken for the new facilities in relation to the interpretation of the proposed new administration and studio building.<br/>
The proposed building will support the aims of the SSAC to provide more functional and contemporary facilities, whilst respecting the heritage significance of the place.<br/>
There have been on-going consultations held between the Stirling Street Art Centre representatives, City of Bunbury staff and a presentation held with the local and broader community which was open to the public.<br/>
The City of Bunbury have committed funding from the Council to this redevelopment as well as secured funding through Lotteries West.
