Overview: The Department of Corrections is looking to source the services of a Medical Officer for Hawkes Bay Regional Prison.
Each prison has a Health centre that provides primary health care to prisoners to a level equivalent to that available in the community. This is a nurse led service with Medical Officers contracted to provide General Practitioner services in accordance with the medical standards and practices of the Medical Council of New Zealand.
This procurement relates to the purchase of Medical Officer services for the Hawkes Bay Regional Prison. Note, that in accordance with the Corrections Act 2004 and Amendments, Doctors/General Practitioners are designated as a 'Medical Officer' in prisons.

Overview: HBDHB wishes to select a management consultancy service to develop a Hawke's Bay Clinical Services Plan that includes services across the Hawke's Bay Health Sector. The clinical services plan will identify the clinical services delivered and models of care that will be needed to meet the future demand of the population of Hawke's Bay. The objective is to align existing health services delivery arrangements with the changing patterns of need to make the most effective use of available and future resources. The Clinical Services Plan will not be limited to Hospital based services, but will consider the primary and secondary clinical services delivered within the Hawke's Bay Health System and ensure alignment with the evolution of social care locally.
The consultant will be required to lead the research regarding the current state, develop options regarding the Clinical Services Plan and consult on these. This will include delivering a written report and presentations that familiarise HBDHB with the approved direction.
It is expected this will be a ten year plan, but where service implications require a longer term view (such as major capital investment) a longer perspective will be required.

The GPSI has access to specialist investigations and services, such as MRI and Orthotics, and is able to undertake advanced general practice procedures, such as joint injections and minor surgery.

The B4 School Check is the eighth and final contact service in the Well Child /Tamariki Ora National Schedule. It is a universal comprehensive screening and health education opportunity for four year olds and their parents/guardian(s) /caregivers. The B4 School Check is a free health and development check for every child in New Zealand.
Specifically this service must meet the objectives of the B4 School Check Service which are to:· promote health and wellbeing in preschool children and ensure that children are prepared for school
· identify any health, behavioural, or developmental concerns that may adversely affect a child's / tamariki ability to learn in the school environment
· make appropriate and timely referrals to improve child health and education outcomes, and reduce inequalities.
Respondents will indicate that they wish to be the service coordination for the whole region and/or be the service deliverer for the whole region or a specific sub region/population (e.g.: Wairoa only or Napier/ Hastings quintile 5 areas).

Overview: This RFP is submitted by Hawke's Bay District Health Board on behalf of our alliance partner Health Hawke's Bay (Primary Health Organisation).
This is the first stage of a contracting process. It is designed to allow providers an opportunity to submit a proposal to develop The Primary Mental Health Programme commissioned via Health Hawke's Bay. Subject to a successful commissioning process the outcome of the work will be a set of recommendations supporting improved delivery of primary mental health services in Hawke's Bay.
Health Hawke's Bay will select the preferred provider based on assessment of the proposals submitted as outlined in the body of this document. The proposed provider/s will be required to meet the mandatory requirements under this proposal, and will be invited to make a presentation to the appointed consideration/selection panel.
Health Hawke's Bay will inform all provider/s at the indicated stage whether their proposal has been accepted to continue. Health Hawke's Bay and the proposed provider may then enter into negotiations with a view to entering a contract. Health Hawke's Bay reserves the right not to issue any contract against this Request for proposal.
