KAWATIRI COASTAL TRAIL. CYCLE AND WALKING HERITAGE TRIAL.<br/>
The Kawatiri Coastal Trail is a 55-Kilometre Cycle and Walking Heritage trial that will connect the Buller District towns of Westport & Charleston. This $9.36m project has just been awarded full funding as part of the Provincial Growth Fund's West Coast commitment.<br/>
Expression of interest are currently being sought by the trails governing body; The Charleston to Westport Coast Trail Trust for project management and/or construction of the trial. The build period is from mid -2019 to the end of 2020.<br/>
However, we do propose engaging a project manager/team early in 2019 to progress final design and consenting processes leading up to construction.<br/>
We invite appropriately qualified and experienced individuals, companies and contractors to submit a short induction/capability statement covering your specialist area(s) of expertise, relevant experience, key staff skill set and examples of any relevant past work.<br/>
The trail will be "family friendly" and constructed to NZ Cycles Trial Grade 2 standard. Construction scope includes: 3 suspension bridges @ 40-50m long, 1 timber bridge @25m long, 87m of short span timber bridges, 1300m of timber boardwalk, 32km of compacted abutments, supports and pathways, timber and steel signage, solar power systems & lighting, timber shelters and landscaping.<br/>
