Description: Metro Trains Sydney (MTS) has responsibility, over a 15-year period, for the Operation of Sydney Metro Northwest (SMNW), the first fully-automated metro rail system in Australia. SMNW will operate between Cudgegong Road Station and Chatswood Station with first passenger services expected to commence mid-2019.
SMNW is a 36-kilometre, $8.3 billion project which opens in the first half of 2019 with a metro train every four minutes in the peak. It includes 13 stations (8 new metro stations, 5 upgraded stations) and 4,000 commuter car spaces, along with the Sydney Metro Train Facility (SMTF) consisting of Administration and Maintenance buildings. The rail line is a mixture of sky rail (viaduct) and below ground (cuttings and tunnels).
MTS is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from competent companies, with required capability and experience in large scale projects, particularly in the rail industry, for the Provision of Maintenance Services for High Voltage Power Supply and Related Equipment for Sydney Metro North West.
Applications of Expressions of Interest will allow MTS to shortlist candidates for future tenders as well as keep interested parties informed of the progress of contract requirements and dates.

AUSTRALIAN RAIL TRACK CORPORATION (ARTC) TENDER, NSW-TC-05340 - Hunter Valley Undercutting Works - FY19-FY21
ABOUT THE TENDER:
ARTC conducts undercutting in the rail corridor to remediate mud holes and other ballast issues that affect track integrity and cause track failures. ARTC is seeking tenders from competent contractors for the provision of resources to complete ballast undercutting works within the Hunter Valley rail network.
The works are split into two (2) separable portions. A tenderer may submit pricing for either separable portion or the entire package. ARTC reserves the right to award either individual contracts for each separable portion or a single contract incorporating both separable portions.

Derwent Valley Council (DVC) is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced individuals/organisations to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the costs and works associated required to reinstate the Derwent Valley Line (the Line) and the ongoing costs of maintaining the line to:
(a) a standard that can be used safely for heritage tourism rail, and,
(b) The minimum level of required maintenance should the line remain inactive.
The Line is a section of approximately 45 km of inactive rail between the 'Boyer block' on the southern side of the Norske Skog paper mill at Boyer and National Park.
There has been no rail traffic, other than maintenance vehicles, on this section of line since approximately 2005 and no commercial rail since the mid-1990's. The condition of the line has deteriorated due to inactivity, only basic maintenance has been undertaken during this period.
The Line includes approximately:
- Estimated nine (9) mainline turnouts;
- 41 level crossings on a mix of public and private roads (most crossing warning signals have been removed, the cost of reinstating these to the required standard should be included in estimates);
- A number of bridges including one crossing Boyer Road and three (3) major crossings of the River Derwent;
- An estimated 22 culverts, and;
- Cuttings and embankments.

Tender Details: Transport for NSW (TfNSW) seeks to engage a suitably qualified organisation to undertake the design and construction of the Edgecliff Station Easy Access Upgrade, under the Transport Access Program.
The Works comprise an upgrade of Edgecliff Station to provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure.

This is a viable contract in a great part of New Zealand.
