TRANSPORT NSW - CORPORATE. ON DEMAND TRANSPORT - REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST. RFT ID TFNSW 2016/106..
Close Date & Time: 24 February 2017 at 5:00pm.
Description: Transport for NSW is undertaking an RFEOI process to develop a series of pilots to assess how public transport mobility could be improved by technology enabled solutions and innovative operating models that replace or supplement scheduled services. The pilots are about inviting industry to collaborate, co-develop and pilot technology enabled solutions and operating models for public transport to improve transport outcomes and the quality of life for every citizen in NSW.
A key element of this will be the provision of greater flexibility and mobility in the transport offering. Learnings from the pilot will help inform Transport for NSW's thinking for future service contracts and create potential opportunities for new models and entrants in the transport network of the future.
The Future Transport Technology Roadmap clearly states that there is a need for Transport for NSW to change the way it collaborates with delivery partners and the way it does business. Increased collaboration with delivery partners will be vital to how we deliver the initiatives within Technology Roadmap.
This RFEOI is being conducted in a markedly different way to the traditional manner. The RFEOI process is designed to allow creative ideas which can be further collaboratively developed between TfNSW and individual respondents through interactive sessions to identify those with the most potential to be developed into a pilot project. Further details can be found in section 3.1
The pilots will be varied to ensure we test a number of great ideas for improving transport. These pilots are not limited to providing an end to end solution. TfNSW will work to assist respondents to identify other parties with which they could partner to deliver the end to end solution. Ideally, the pilots will be very different and TfNSW is happy to work flexibly to develop the pilots in the best way to achieve outcomes without restricting innovation.
Industry Briefing - An open industry briefing will be held on 14 December 2016 at Australian Technology Park. This will provide an opportunity for respondents to learn more about the process and to ask any questions.
Registration for the event is essential through the TfNSW Industry Engagement page at: http://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/industry/industry-engagment
Registrations will open on Wednesday 7th December 2016.
To gain access to the data room, organisations must complete and return the confidentiality Deed Poll, which is located in the EOI documentation. Respondents are required to download the Confidentiality undertaking on the eTendering website, sign and return to the RFEOI email address: firstname.lastname@example.org Access to the data room will then be granted to bonafide respondents.

TRANSPORT NSW - CORPORATE. TOTTENHAM - DUBBO SERVICE.
RFT ID TfNSW 2017/001. RFT Type REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
Closes: 22 February 2017 at 5:00pm.
Contact Person: Jacob Loadsman. Phone: (02) 8836-3177.
Tender Details: This RFP seeks to gauge interest in and understand the costs of providing a public transport service between the towns of Tottenham and Dubbo (via Albert), initially on one day per week for a period of six months.
The key outcomes that we want to achieve are:· Safe and reliable provision of a weekly public transport service between Tottenham (via Albert and Narromine) and Dubbo. Customers would have sufficient time (approximately four hours) to transact business and undertake activities in the regional city of Dubbo, before returning home.
· Provision of services to any member of the public including people with disabilities. The provision of fully accessible services is a longer term objective. In the first six months of the Pilot TfNSW is seeking to obtain the highest degree of accessibility in balance with other objectives. This may mean that the provider/s may need to assist some customers into and out of the vehicle or provide an appropriate step or other features to improve access.
· Service quality. This is a booked service so that customers have confidence they have a seat and connections work smoothly. It is a service requirement that the operator provides assistance with luggage and parcels. The operator may run the booking system or would need to work closely with a booking service established by TfNSW
· Value for money. Provision of quality services in the most cost effective manner possible. The emphasis is on using existing resources in the best way possible, rather than be fixed on a particularly vehicle type or specification as long as it is fit for purpose.
Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is undertaking a project (known as the Flexible Transport Pilot) to test proposals about how to deliver improved public transport in the western area of NSW.
These proposals seek to improve services using existing transport resources, for the least cost, while providing a quality service. The Tottenham (via Albert and Narromine) - Dubbo service is a part of the Flexible Transport Pilot (FTP). If the service is successful there may be further contract extension to June 2018.
