The City is seeking a provider to supply and deliver one (1) new 6x4 cab chassis truck. The provider is also required to remove the waste compaction body from an existing City of Canning vehicle, completely restore, rebuild and then transfer the refurbished waste compaction body onto the new chassis.
The unit will be used within the City of Canning for kerbside hard and green waste collection. It will be required to compact materials such as tree branches, vegetation and a varying array of domestic hard waste items and transport to waste disposal sites. The unit will also be required to tow a 5,000 kg (max payload) plant trailer, used for transporting a 3,000 kg tare weight front end loader around.

Tender Details: The National Parks & Wildlife Service (NPWS) is an Agency within the Office of Environment & Heritage (OEH). The NPWS operates a fleet of approximately 150 heavy vehicles and 300 pieces of ancillary plant and equipment. The NPWS is required to operate their Heavy Vehicle fleet in accordance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) including adherence to maximum permissible mass and dimensions of heavy vehicles used on NSW roads.
The Heavy Vehicle National Law (NSW) was established as a National scheme for facilitating and regulating the use of heavy vehicles on public roads. The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator was established and prescribes requirements about the following:· The standards heavy vehicles must meet when on roads
· The maximum permissible mass and dimensions of heavy vehicles used on roads
· Securing and restraining loads on heavy vehicles used on roads
· Preventing drivers of heavy vehicles exceeding speed limits
· Preventing drivers of heavy vehicles driving while fatigued.
